Simple Abundance

Aren't these fabrics just wonderful?! I love stopping by Camille's blog to see what wonderful projects she is working on. I have been eyeing her new fabric line, Simple Abundance, all summer. I couldn't wait for it to become available. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but then I saw this pattern

Maybe it's all that engineering training, but I just love elegant

solutions to problems. The method for creating the blocks is so clever and easy. It took no time at all to make the blocks. I've got the center of the quilt done and just need to finish the borders.

Of course I did get distracted with another project, so it will probably take me a few weeks before I get the borders on, but this project will get done before Christmas. It's going to be a gift for good friends of ours. The colors will go perfectly in their family room. I love it when a plan comes together.
