It's been awhile

It's been awhile since I posted. I've been busy doing many things, but I've really been hooked on making bags recently. This one is my first attempt at a zippered bag. It turned out pretty well for someone who's never sewn a zipper before. I gave it to my son's teacher. I hope she enjoys it.

I've been busy doing laundry and preparing for our trip to Italy. We leave tomorrow evening. All the laundry is done and folded. I just need to pick out which clothes to take and get them packed. I spent this morning getting all the memory cards cleared and ready to go while charging all the camera batteries. On our last big vacation I took 3500 pictures. I'm sure this trip will be no different. I'm taking along my new macbook to backup my photos each evening. I made a little sleeve for it.





I'm so happy with how it turned out. It should fit perfectly in my carry-on bag.

Last but not least....the bride loved her quilt. My husband spoke to her father today and he said it was their favorite wedding gift. I don't know if he was just saying that to be nice, but he did say that their son, who is getting married later in the year, told him they had to be sure to invite us to his wedding in hopes that they would get one too :). He was always such a nice boy - one of our first babysitters after his big sister went off to college.

I am off to finish packing. I'll post some pictures from Italy when I get back.
