Every year during President's Day weekend my book club makes the short trek to Daphne's farm on the northern neck in Virginia. It a wonderful weekend of friendship, books and food and wine. This year there were 11 of us. It is so relaxing to not be needed for 48 hours. We look forward to this weekend all year.
We realized while we were there that we will be celebrating out 10 year of books and fellowship this September. To celebrate, we are going to chose our top ten books. I'm going to have to think about this. I know a few right off the top of my head; Embers, Pride and Prejudice, The Red Tent, All the King's Men, A Tale of Two Cities.... There are so many wonderful books we've read over the years. It will be fun to see what our lists look like.
